Lymph node: Most likely. You have multiple little lymph nodes behind your ear down your neck, below your hairline, really all over your body. They sometimes get a little bigger when you get any kind of infection, cold, earache, sore throat. They can take awhile to go away, long after the cold is over. They become concerning when large, hard, red, painful etc. sounds like yours is resolving.
