Tendonitis/neuritis: due to compression or overuse. Try OTC antiinflammatory medicnes. Bioflex cream and refrain from working out for 1 week. If not improved, see private M.D.

Numbness: Nerves travel from the spinal cord, through openings in the spine, and then out to muscles. When a nerve passes through a muscle it can become impinged as the muscle goes into spasm. This will cause you to have pain, numbness &/or weakness .Stretch exercises and weight loss should help with your condition. Consult your doctor if no improvement after 2 wks of stretching to rule out other causes.
