A member asked:

Tore my ulna collateral ligament pitching 2 years ago, been playing for 1 year now after surgery, still get numbness in wrist. normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

DEPENDS WHERE NUMB: If the numbness is toward the ring finger and little finger, then it is probably related to the surgery. Grip weakness - involves that same nerve. That would be an issue to be further evaluated. If the numbness is thumb + index + middle finger, it would not be related to the surgery. Further evaluation is necessary (such as ruling out Carpel Tunnel Syndrome)
