Start medicine: Your child is having infection of the external canal infection and gluelike stuff is thick discharge as a result of infection. Start cipro (ciprofloxacin) otic drops to treat the infection as prescribed .If any reaction to medicine then consut your doctor .

External otitis: Make sure to keep the drops at the proper temperature. Swirl them gently before applying . If the canal is too full of thick debris for the drops to go in, an ear nose and throat doctor (ENT) can suction out the pus and even place a cotton wick into the ear canal. Usually this is not necessary, but can provide relief for severe infections.
