Brain injury: Hello. The incidence of any complication from balloon sinuplasy has been reported to be lower than 0.01% compared to 2.5% when performed in the operating room under general anesthesia. As far as nasal turbinate surgery, this is extremely unlikely because your doctor will be working far away from the skull base. Choose an experienced surgeon. Good Luck.
