A member asked:

Is there a brand of bug spray that's safe for babies or young children? or is it safe to use ordinary bug spray?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

DEET: Up to 20% DEET can be put on the skin as long as it's not on longer than 4-6 hours and you wash it off with soap and water at the end of the day. 100% DEET can be put on clothing as a repellent. There are also now wrist repellents that kids can wear, although might be a bit big for a baby or toddler. Light weight long pants and sleeves also helpful. If any skin irritation, stop use.
