A member asked:

Why does a pregnant woman get headaches?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Headaches: Headaches are very common during pregnancy due to a surge in hormones and an increase in blood volume to carry the baby. Low blood sugar from skipping meals, dehydration, lack of sleep (naps now required), stress from the many changes, and withdrawals from caffeine or medications. Sinus congestion and poor posture can cause a headache too.
