Ok: Skipping periods is a common (and desired) side effect of low dose birth control pills. If you have not missed any pills, your chances of pregnancy are less than 1%.

Progesting only pill: Periods can skip or stop w/ progestin only pills as pills contain one hormone that does not cycle and can thin out of the lining of the womb, unlike combination birth control pills which contain both progestin and estrogen and give a hormone free week so women can bleed. Make sure you take them regularly, around the same part of day, If any doubt, can repeat the pregnancy test in 1 wk
