So many things: So many things could be the cause of cest pain like the one you describe, the most serious one, of course, being insufficient blood supply to the heart;i strongly urge you to see a physician for
your problem, ;i am not sure why "the er was of no
help".Ers are usually very busy and cannot always get into details of everything like a doctor can.

See your MD: Depends on what tests er did ... Should get thorough check by your md, especially if recurs, persists, or worsens ... May not be heart ... Could be lung or chest wall muscles/ribs ...
