A member asked:

I have a 1.6cm single vascular nodule right lobe of thyroid. it is 16x15x7mm, hypoechogenic, curcumscribed, front of neck has pain. t4 low biopsy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

FNA biopsy: Hi. TSH would be more useful than a T4, but I can surmise it's NOT a hyper functioning nodule from the low T4, and hyper functioning nodules are the only ones at no risk of being cancer. You need a fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy with gene testing. Let me guess...that's what your doc told you! She/he is right! Get it done. They're not bad at all ( know it seems creepy!). Odds are in your favor
