FNA biopsy: Hi. TSH would be more useful than a T4, but I can surmise it's NOT a hyper functioning nodule from the low T4, and hyper functioning nodules are the only ones at no risk of being cancer. You need a fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy with gene testing. Let me guess...that's what your doc told you! She/he is right! Get it done. They're not bad at all ( know it seems creepy!).
