Echinacea: There is some data suggesting that daily echinacea can prevent vital uris. There is similar data for zinc supplementation as well. It does not appear these agents treat a uri, but rather, may prevent them.

Immunity boost: Take a vitamin D3 (5000 IU/day) supplement and good quality probiotic daily. Also, taking a zinc supplement ~15 mg/day may help prevent catching colds.
