See below: Rigevidon is a contraceptive or hormone pill used to prevent further ovarian cysts. Taking this briefly like you take an antibiotic is NOT going to help. You have to be on it long term, atleast 3-6 months. Please discuss duration with your OBGyn. Most functional cysts do resolve and the hormone pills help by preventing future ovulation and further cyst formation. You can start your pill on CD#2.

Ovarian cysts: May come and go spontaneously without or with hormonal supplememntation. Cysts often resolve spontaneously.
