A member asked:

Can a muscle or tendon in the leg below the skin become infected? what are some symptoms/signs?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Deeper infections: Certainly infections below the skin can occur. Infection of the muscles or joints can occur when bacteria in the blood deposit the germs there, or an infection spreads from another site. The symptoms usually involve pain plus the systemic signs like fever, weakness, nausea etc. Some clue is usually there in the history about these diseases so I hope u can go to a doc and get it checked out.
