Hypothyroidism: Hi. No point in taking levothyroxine twice a day; take it once/day - easier. Do you have a goiter? I would not expect pain in the neck from your hypothyroidism; tender thyroid glands are from a different condition than what you have. Hypothyroidism (with or without goiter) can be associated with a sensation of difficulty swallowing. Your doc will adjust your l-thyroxine dose to get your TSH normal
