GI bleed: Black loose stool much more concerning for an upper GI bleed. if you had a good quality colonoscopy 2 years ago, colon cancer is fairly unlikely (unless you have known genetic mutations/ aggressive polyps etc) - but you do need to get checked out for upper GI tract bleeding ASAP. make an appt with your PCP/GI today/tomorrow and get your CBC checked. lay off of ASA and NSAIDS.
