A member asked:

A year ago last may my brain aneurysm was coiled. i get pains the last 8 weeks where my coils are situated. is this normal? mra shows occlusion

Probably not the coi: If the coils were to cause a headache, they'd have done it right away. And any headache from the procedure would be generalized, or at least cover a fairly large area, and not in a specific place. Your headache is much more likely to be due to something else.

Probably normal.: Because there is new metal in your head, patients can often experience some discomfort or strange sensations in the area of the coiling. Speak to your surgeon if you are concerned.
