EBV: EBV is Epstein Barr Virus. It's the virus that causes mononucleosis. The symptoms are fatigue, fever, swollen glands and sore throat. Since it's a virus, it needs to run it's course, and your body's immune system will fight it. Rest and fluid will help. There should be no long term problems.

Potentially : People who have mononucleosis can have an enlarged spleen leaving them susceptible to splenic rupture if participating in contact sports. Be careful and refrain from any contact sports for the time being.
