HFM disease: This time of year I would highly suspect hand-foot-mouth disease. This is a viral illness that is common during the summer months and can produce spots on hands and feet and sores in the mouth. Fever can accompany the rash as well. Some kids have the rash in all 3 places, others just one of the areas. Some have fever, some don't. Some act sick, some don't. Clears up on own in about a week.
