Well first histamine: levels are highest in the evening, and without seeing him and getting a detailed history i would question the fabric in his sheets, the laundry detergent used. Avoid perfume room deodorizers. Try going to all cotton bedding and pajamas, and change to all free and clear detergent. You can give a little OTC benadryl (diphenhydramine). If not better see derm or allergist.
