Lymph nodes: Lymph nodes are located on both sides of your jaw and neck. If there is a unilateral node, it might indicate a local infection on that side, such as a skin infection, gum infection etc. Also salivary glands are located directly underneath the jaw and can be confused with lymph nodes. Early am mucus can be a result of secretions overnight, or allergies. See your primary care doc for diagnosis
