Likely: Fluid in the mastoid air cells is a common finding which is almost always related to inner ear infections. Treatment consists of a decongestant and sometimes antibiotics. It is most commonly untreated infectious mastoiditis which results in brain abscess formation. Follow up with your doctor if your symptoms persist.
