Don't stop meds: Bitter taste could be from meds, but could also be from low kidney function. It's critical to treat high BP aggressively to avoid severe kidney failure. Talk to your doctor about possible side effects, but don't give up on meds. Most mild side effects go away with time, and if side effects are intolerable, there are usually other meds that can be used instead.

Bitter taste: A bitter taste can result from acid reflux or from post nasal drip. A bitter taste also can be a symptom of advanced kidney disease. What you mention in your question makes me wonder and worry that your kidney disease may be the root cause of a bitter taste on your tongue. Please get additional blood testing.
