Food Myths: Please remember that the myth that eating cholesterol adds to one's cholesterol is false. The food you eat is broken down in the stomach to fats, sugars, and proteins. Cholesterol in food does not present to your liver as cholesterol. Thus, one can be less worried in situations like you describe.

NO- lowers chol.!: A good quality whey protein has only a tiny trace of cholesterol. For example, my favorite whey protein, whey cool by designs for health, has 24 grams of protein and 0.03 grams of cholesterol per serving. Research studies show that whey protein lowers cholesterol and triglycerides. Look for whey from grass-fed cows not given hormones or antibiotics and processed at low temperature.
