My 14 month old displays self injurious behavior. hits head on ground, or with his own hands. otherwise normal& interactive & smart. what to do?

Toddler discomfort : It's always best to have your child seen by his or her pediatrician. There may indeed be something that is causing your child discomfort , this could be anything. Sometimes it is an ear infection or something as minor as teething the first year molars. Wish you and your child a healthy recovery to this problem.

Agree w' Dr Buzzeo: Also ask pediatrician about Birth to Three program. They will evaluate and help intervene if it is needed. It is a wonderful resource.
