Takotsubo: Takotsubo, or transient apical ballooning syndrome, is a type of non-ischemic cardiomyopathy. Describe first in Japan, it is also known as 'broken heart syndrome' as it can be brought about by stress. Although infrequent, it is possible to get recurrence of this condition, so if you have any concerns it would be wise to see your doctor as soon as possible.
