I started a round of zithro today for tonsillitis. i took the zithro with a hydration packet called lmnt, which contains 60mg of magnesium malate. im worried about potential cardiac event after seeing the do not take with magnesium antacids warning?

It is not the cardiac side effect of zithromax but taking magnesium at the same time with zithromax may decrease the effects of zithromax. Zithromax should be taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking magnesium. Good luck.
