Do not be scared: Lymph nodes and salivary gland can become palpable with infection but can be painful and of short duration. Lipoma ( a benign Fat accumulation underneath the skin) or Blockage of Oil gland causing Sebaceous cyst . This can remain non tender for long time until gets infected. If you have persistent gum, facial infection LN can be palpable. if you are scared get it checked
