Unusual change: If no constipation, should discuss change with your Dr, as may indicate bowel function problem. If constipated, then not normal--need to use fiber or stool softener regularly to move frequency more toward daily BM. If no success on own with OTC products, talk to your Dr for regimen.

See your GI doc!: if it's a normal BM once a week and has always been like that - not a big deal, necessarily. but it sounds like it's a change from usual. tramadol may be the cause. make sure you get in enough fiber (~25g/ day) and make sure you're up to date on your screening colonoscopy - so if you haven't had one yet, make sure you do.
