Strep is dangerous: If you really have blood in your cough -- what we call 'hemoptysis' then this is something you need to get checked out. Group A Strep (GAS) is a dangerous germ - and although you've been started on the right antibiotic, if you're not feeling well and have this symptom you need to be seen. Not to scare you, but this germ can be invasive. I hope you can go to an ER and have a proper investigation.
