Possible: There is a possibility that the pain you feel in your upper teeth when reclining in the bath is related to a lower molar tooth that is hopeless. All teeth are "hard-wired" by the body's Facial Nerve and so the signal could be confused at the brain's pain center. Of course, without a thorough examination, there could also be undiagnosed problems with your upper teeth. Ask your dentist to be sure!

Yes, it is possible: Heterotopic pain, a general term used to designate pain perceived by the patient in an area other than its true site of origin (e.g. tooth #30 is source, upper teeth site). By blocking the source, the pain will stop at the site. Your dentist will make sure to eliminate the source of your pain. Hope it helps.

Possibly: It's an unusual pain referral site, but it's not impossible. Have you had a full Dental examination recently? are all your other teeth and tissues healthy? Have plans been made for replacing tooth #30 to prevent bite collapse? Please discuss all of these issues with your Dentist.
