A member asked:

How reliable is a cardiac ct for calcium scoring in determining whether someone has coronary artery disease or not? thanks.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Well...: It is reliable, and it does NOT replace a stress test or if needed and angiogram... At your age coronaries should not have much calcium, and yet plaques unless they have calcium would not show. Your symptoms may not be cardiac but rather coming from the lungs... Seek medical attention soon!!!
