Why do i get anxiety immediate after taking lexapro (escitalopram) 20 mg? after an hour or so, it subsides, any idea why?

Known side effect: Anxiety or increased irritability is not one of the top side effects of this medication. Nevertheless, anxiousness in some individuals has been reported. The reason you may feel settled after an hour is that the medication or its metabolites may be getting processed out of your body reducing the intensity of this particular side effect.
