Not necessary at all: Why do you assume that if you have a "nail change" that you have acquired HIV. What nail change do you have. There are several associated with HIV but these are also changes seen in many patients with chronic illness. There isn't a pathognomonic nail change which defines HIV. Hopefully you take some reassurance. But if you are worried please seek the input of your doctor.
