A member asked:

Can i use flutamide against hirsutism?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but....: Flutamide is an anti-androgen, meaning that it interferes with or inhibits the actions of androgens (male hormones) and, therefore can be effective in the treatment of hirsutism. However, it also has more potential side effects and toxicity and generally is no more effective than another anti-androgen called spironolactone, which is the more widely used anti-androgen in the U.S.
