A bit atypical: 1 gm of Flagyl is a very atypical dose. What is it being dosed for? Usually one time dosing, as in what's used for garnerella infections, some forms of urethritis, and prevention of STDs after an sexual assault, is 2 gms(2000 mg). If you doctor felt like you need 1000mg, there may be a chance with a lower dose that the levels of the antibiotic may not be optimal. Please speak with your doctor.

Probably: Not enough. Did you not pick up your new prescription?? Also don't know what you are being treated for

Hard to say. : But if you have a routine infection of Gardnerella or Trichomonas, 1000mg daily for 1 week may be sufficient. For more serious infections such as diverticulitis, you may need more. Talk to your doctor.
