Well...: All medications can have side effects. This does not mean you will get any. Amiodarone is quite effective in many. You must discuss and request education from the Dr. that prescribed it. Do not panic, seems like all is well.

See below: amiodarone does work well for afib. There is a risk, just like anything, to taking it. It can cause pulmonary and thyroid toxicity. If you take it, try to get on the lowest dose that's effect and between you and your physician, monitor for signs of toxicity.
