What are the chances of a lesion being serious if not seen on a c-scan. can't a dr. tell a cyst or blood vessel when he removes it.

Ask surgeon: I assume C scan is cat scan.Usually surgeon likes to know type of lesion dealing with. If it has large amount of blood vessels, cystic, or solid. Helps with surgical planning. Access to problem depends a lot on location I would want to know as much information preop as possible Some times soft tissue lesions are better seen with MR examination. You should have discussion with the physician
