Healthy vegetarian: Some people choose to not eat chicken and other meat products because of the way animals are treated, and the environmental burden of raising animals for food. Vegetables will not substitute for the protein from chicken. Foods such as tofu, legumes (peas, beans), dairy products, and eggs have protein. Combining foods such as rice, corn and beans together can also provide plenty of protein.
