Can i use diprosone (betamethasone dipropionate) ov cream on fungal infected scalp?

No.: Diprosone (betamethasone dipropionate) is a corticosteroid anti-inflammatory cream; it will make a fungal infection worse. Fungal infections of the scalp usually require an oral antifungal, because creams & lotions can't penetrate the hair follicles where the fungus is located.

No: Fungal infections on scalp travel down hair follicles and require oral anti fungal medications. Please get checked by a dermatologist who can confirm the diagnosis and treat accordingly. Usually otc ketoconazole shampoo can be used in conjunction with oral rx. But who wants cream on their hair anyway, right?
