Need more info: What do you mean by a "kidney infection"? Have you seen a doctor? If you are referring to cystitis(bladder inflammation with or without infection) yes it can cause lower abdominal discomfort and frequent urination. If the pain is severe please see your doctor or the ER.Good luck.
