So i've been told that a rug burn should be always moist/ have neosporin on it. i've also heard it should not stay moist. 6 days sinse it occurred.

No moist: Abrasions will not heal well in moist environments. Topical antibiotics can help prevent infection, but generally keeping the area well ventilated, and letting a natural scab occur, will let the natural healing process begin.
