3-8 days: Prednisone has a 18-36hr half-life and 5 half-lives is considered full elimination. Medication beneficial effects usually wear off in 1-2 half-lives but adverse effects can last past 5 half-lives. Potential Adverse effects are too numerous to list here. If you don't have symptoms don't worry about what a small number of other users reported as long as swallowing issue resolved and you fell well.
