About 6 - 8 weeks: It generally takes about 6 to eight week before letting patient walk on operated ankle Depending on the follow up XRays You will need to do exercises and rehabilitation of the ankle to get strength and flexibility in the ankle back It may take any where from 3-6 months for complete recovery Please follow up with your Surgeon and let him make these decisions and follow his/her directions
