Question?: Not all colds cause high fevers. A good "general rule of thumb" is if you have a fever ( ex. 101) and take 2 regular Tylenol (acetaminophen) and recheck temp 30 minutes later and the fever has fallen 1 full degree or more, this is most likely a viral infection. If temp increaes or worsens- see your physician.
