Spinal Syrinx: A spinal syrinx is a rare, fluid-filled neuroglial cavity within the spinal cord (syringomyelia), and if causes pressure on the nerves that innervate the chest, arms and back area, could certainly cause some of those symptoms to occur. See the neurologist for an evaluation and treatment. Best wishes to you.
