Pinched nerve?: You may have a nerve that's being impinged (pinched or pressed on) by a piece of one of the discs. If you are having these symptoms, you will likely need an MRI of your neck to determine the extent of the disc problem. Physical therapy will likely help, along with anti-inflammatories and possibly steroids. You should contact your doctor and schedule a visit at your earliest convenience.

Pinched nerves: Your history of herniated discs, symptoms of pins&needles & pain in the arms strongly suggest a condition known as a cervical radiculopathy. Pinched nerve(s) is another way to describe what is happening. You will need an examination by a neurologist with diagnostic studies of the neck followed by appropriate medications and physical therapy. Depending upon severity surgery may also be recommended.
