A member asked:

Sharp shooting pain behind right knee & calf when i walk started yesterday & occasional first 3 toes go numb. what could be wrong? home relief?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Calf pain: Pain behind the knee on walking, if not due to a strain, could be due to an inflammed muscle or tendon. Less likely would be a vein inflammation(phlebitis) or cyst. Numbness in the toes could be from a pinched nerve . See an orthopedic surgeon if symptoms persist or worsen. Cold or heat applications, liniment and, if you can take them,NSAIDS like ibuprofen rMay help.
