Unknown: Excessive alcohol intake can potentially cause liver damage which may impair your body's ability to coagulate blood. This may make liposuction (smart lipo or any surgery) more bloody and dangerous than it otherwise may be.

Probably nothing. : Drinking alcohol decades before lipo probably has no consequence unless you drank excessively and have liver damage. You should discuss this and any other medical problem with your plastic surgeon before any procedure. A test of your liver function may be necessary to see if you have any damage.

Hopefully nothing: If you have damaged your liver or other organs due to drinking you should be cautious with the risks involved with a surgical procedure. But if you are physically healthy, you should be fine.

Depends : Alcoholics can have serious clotting disorders. In addition, patients with cirrhosis can have very enlarged veins of the abdominal wall. Always be upfront with your doctor about your medical history including your history if alcohol consumption.

Avoid Alcohol: Smartlipo is a medical procedure that requires local anesthetic and possibly sedation. Like any invasive procedure you should discuss with your physician anything you have eaten or liquids you have consumed before the procedure.
