It depends,,,: It depends on how low the white count is and what the other tests on blood show. For example, if there are low counts from leukemia, etc., there might be immature white cells in the blood smear. If it's due to infection or chemotherapy, there will likely be less white cells without immature forms and there would be other blood parameters abnormal as well. Best of luck.
