My baby has a cleft palate. where can i get special bottles to feed my baby?

Easy: Either your pharmacist or your nearest cleft palate center should be able to help. Babies with cleft palates often have difficulty generating enough suction pressure without the use of special nipples if they are bottle fed.

See a team: Contact the craniofacial anomalies clinic at lucille packard hospital - they can help not only pointing you in the right direction for bottles, but can assist in the complex issues that can arise taking care of children with cleft lip/palate.

Cleft feeding: Contact a local cleft cae team: they should have a nurse or speech therapist who can assist with feeding instructions and equipment. You can find a listing of cleft team at the cleft palate foundation website (http://www.Cleftline.Org/) as well as useful information about cleft care.
